Travel by Train
The Chicago Transit Authority runs a 24-hour train service from Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Chicago with operates every ten minutes. The CTA's Blue Line travels from O'Hare airport to downtown Chicago, and this station can be reached by pedestrian tunnels from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 . Other surrounding areas can be reached using the blue line and transfers to more CTA stations. A large map is displayed at the entrance of the station with all CTA lines and stops. The blue line also provides transfers to other surrounding destinations and transfers to other CTA stations.
The Metra North Central commuter rail is accessible by riding the ATS. The train travels between Antioch and Chicago's renowned Union Station, and provides a service to many areas.
Travel by Buses
Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is served by many regular public buses that travel from the airport's terminal buildings to central Chicago and other nearby towns. Buses at Chicago Airport run daily at regular intervals and are an inexpensive and useful way to travel into the city. Some hotels also offer a door-to-door courtesy shuttle bus services for their guests, traveling from the airport, directly to the hotel.
The Bus / Shuttle Center at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is situated on the ground floor of the elevated parking garage, and is accessible by tunnels from Terminals 1, 2 and 3. This is also the pickup area for hotel door-to-door courtesy shuttle bus services, and Pace buses, as well as shuttle services for car rental agencies. This service also provides shuttles to north suburban destinations. Continental Airport Express shuttles operate from O'Hare airport every 5-10 minutes, with tickets available at the kiosk outside of the International Terminal and at counters across from baggage claim on the lower levels of Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
For transfers to / from Midway and O'Hare International Airports, Omega Airport Shuttle provides an efficient and inexpensive service, with shuttles operating from 07:00 to 22:00.
Travel by Taxi Cabs
Taxis are readily available at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) outside of the airport's arrivals area on the lower level curb front. They provide a convenient and easy way to travel into nearby Chicago city and other destinations. The journey from Chicago Airport into central Chicago will take around 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
